- Well, I have somewhat the same problem... My computer has a direct connection
- to a SCP, (yes they do still exist). Howver, I have to engage the SCP from
- a vt100 to a SLIP protocal. To do that, I have to type SLIP when I dial in.
- However, IBM's TCP/IP doesn't let you do that. Furthermore, I've been trying
- to call using a modem and setting up the connection, and then hook up TCP/IP.
- However, the COM port resets itself after the prog closes, so the SCP
- resets itself. Does anyone know of a way to get a prog or a REXX script that
- keeps the COM port (ie COM1) open??? I talked to the head-honcho at IBM, and
- all he said was that I had to rewire my COM port... However, I was not your
- typical re-wiring... Anyway, thanx in advance...
