  12. I am new to this particular news feed so this may have been asked in the past.
  13. I am not very familiar with IBM host equipment either.

  15. I am trying to provide mainframe connectivity to a number of remote sites. 
  16. Most of the sites have IBM 3174 (or compatible) remote controllers for SNA
  17. communications.  This comm. takes place over multidrop 9600 bps lines.  We are
  18. in the process of installing T1 circuits to all of those same locations.  The
  19. T1's are primarily IP.  Does software exist for the 3174 to allow SNA
  20. encapsulation in IP packets?  I have seen hints of this scenario on some of the
  21. news feeds but I am not sure which ones.  Any help with this would be greatly
  22. appreciated.
