- Howdy,
-
- I'm writing a small network analyzer to gather statistics. I have most of the
- IP protocols in Comer's book done but am having problems finding information
- regarding a bunch of the ethernet types. I'm seeing a LOT of ethernet types
- that fall into the "experimental" range of RFC 1060 and am wondering if there
- are any more complete lists of assigned numbers. I need the type field of the
- ethernet frame for general statistics gathering and would like the higher layer
- protocol packet formats for completeness.
-
- Any pointers to references or information you could shed would be appreciated.
-
- For those interested in the program, I'm writing it for Sun workstations. If
- responses warrant (and the program doesn't turn into a load of crap), I'll
- make it available.
