- Ok, I have looked at several questions posted along these lines and thought
- I would ask one myself to summarize.
-
- I would like all infomration on PPP for dos machines. I know ka9q exists,
- but I would like a packet driver that I can use with other software. I have
- looked at a ppp packet driver from merit.edu, but it seems to be setup to
- log into merit nodes, not a general ppp setup.
- I want to run Desqview X over my 19.2 Kbaud serial line for a few
- applications.
-
- On another note, which of the freeware ( I think that is as close to a
- description as I can get ) PPP implimentaions for UNIX machines is best?
- I am setting up PPP for several of our professors here, and would like to
- know which one to use. The hardware is Sun4/110's and Sun IPC's, with
- generic modems. I am looking for ease of installation and reliability.
- Also, will PPP handle NFS traffic over the link? Well I have taken up
- enough bandwith, responses by email will be summarized. Thanks for
- everyones time.
