  12. A couple of days ago, I replied/posted a response to someone having problems
  13. using pcnfslpd with AIX as a server. After a few days of working with
  14. SUN, I have been sent a new version of pcnfslpd. The people at Sun have
  15. told me that rembak, the program that is responsable for actually sending
  16. the spool request to the remote machine, appears to be using a NEW socket
  17. for every job. So, after x number of jobs have been sent, the pc print
  18. server have run out of sockets. Prior to installing the new software,
  19. our print server was locking up 2 or 3 times a day. We installed the software
  20. first thing yesterday, and have not had any problems since.

  22. I would like to thank Curt Finch at IBM for explaining more about how 
  23. the printing is working and correcting my train of thought, and the
  24. support guys at Sun for their help.

  26. The version of pcnfslpd.exe that we are currently running is 4.1.a3 and
  27. it has fixed the problems that we were experiencing.
