  19. transport-specific UDP/TCP interfaces), while the second talks about TIRPCSRC
  20. 1.0 (the flavor of RPC that's in SVR4 and Solaris 2.x).

  26. Sun's freely licensed RPC/XDR implementation, RPCSRC 4.0, is now
  27. available via anonymous ftp from bcm.tmc.edu and by email from the
  28. archive-server@bcm.tmc.edu.

  30. If you use the archive server, send mail to archive-server@bcm.tmc.edu
  31. with a Subject of "send nfs index" to see all the names of the files.
  32. Sending a message with the Subject "help" will return to you more
  33. information about the archive server itself.

  35. To use anonymous FTP, use the ftp program to connect to bcm.tmc.edu.
  36. When prompted for a user name, enter "anonymous".  When prompted for
  37. a password, enter your user ID (such as "joeuser@sun.com").  Then
  38. change directories (cd) to the "nfs" directory, where you will find
  39. the RPCSRC files.

  42. secure rpc.

  50. Sun's freely licensed implementation of Transport Independent RPC
  51. (TIRPC), is now available as source code via anonymous ftp from
  52. ftp.uu.net in the directory "networking/rpc" as the file named
  53. tirpcsrc.tar.Z.  This is a compressed tar file.  This implementation of
  54. TIRPC is compatible with SunOS 4.1 *only*, and requires root
  55. priviledges for installation.

  57. TIRPC is the version of Sun RPC that is part of System V Release 4
  58. (SVR4).  See the "README" file in the distribution, as well as the
  59. files in the doc and man directories, for further information.
