  14. Is there any existing software which tests an implementation of a
  15. communications protocol?  Can someone recommend a book or paper on how to
  16. design such software?

  18. This project involves multivendor equipment which accepts messages from
  19. async modem, transmits over radio to receiver with forward error
  20. correction, and from there to a receiving computer.  Information about how
  21. to go about designing tests for the various protocols involved is needed.
