- Hi! I was wondering if anyone has tried to backup a PC or Mac to an IBM
- mainframe via TCP/IP? If so, how?
-
- I have tried backing up my PC to the IBM mainframe with NFS. The IBM
- mainframe involved has Interlink's SNS/TCPaccess TCP/IP software and
- Interlink's SNS/NFS. First, I created an NFS connection from my PC to
- the IBM mainframe and tried to XCOPY my PC's hard disk to the designated
- NFS drive (allocated as the mainframe) i.e. XCOPY c: g: /s /e. It would
- only copy my current directory and nothing more.
-
- Then I tried to FTP my PC's whole hard disk. Is there way to FTP the whole
- hard disk of a PC to the mainframe? I could only again find a way to FTP one
- directory at a time. I am using FTP's PC/TCP software.
-
- I would really appreciate anyone's ideas or if anyone is doing this, how.
-
- Please send all responsess to modic@gumby.dsd.trw.com
-
- Thanks, Jeanine
