- We buy 500' or 1000' spools of 4 pair level 4. When installing station cables,
- we use all 4 pairs. When making 10Base-T jumpers, I only use the green and o
- range pairs, cutting the blue and brown at the jacket. It sounds like it wou
- ld be difficult to get the wires in the correct RJ45 slots for crimping, but
- it is actually quite easy. Just make sure they're all in the right spot befo
- re crimping.
