- I have a System 7 Mac LCII running MacTCP 1.1 successfully across an Ethertalk
- connection and use NCSA Telnet and Eudora that way. Other Macs here are connected
- by Localtalk to Fastpaths and these allow Sun CAP servers on ethernet to serve
- these Macs.
-
- When I try to set up MacTCP to speak over Localtalk (Network is set to
- Localtalk Built-In), Telnet can't find any DNS servers and Eudora bombs.
-
- Should my 'Gateway' entry for MacTCP now point to the Fastpath's IP number
- (which one?) or the DNS?
-
- Should my IP number now be set dynamically instead of manually? (No RARP here).
-
- Should I be able to run these programs via Localtalk at all?
