- #Hello VAX Friends:
- #
- ..
- #Our cluster has connections to both Internet and BITNET.
- ..
- #The problem we have is that VAX MAIL is pretty picky about sending mail to
- #BITNET and Internet. Folks have to provide the mailer prefix JNET% to send
- #to a BITNET address, and SMTP% to send to an Internet address.
- #
- #What we would like to be able to do is not have the clients worry about which
- #prefix they provide (we'd want a mailer to take care of that)...
- ..
- #So, my question is, is there an intelligent mailer available for use on a
- #VAX/VMS system which can handle access to BITNET and Internet, and if
- #possible, other networks like: MCImail, Applelink, X.400, X.500, etc.
-
- Innosoft International's PMDF is an excellent mail
- package (mta, etc.) which provides all the functionality
- you're looking for!
-
- It's the #1 choices of places that need reliability. Often
- a secondary choice is the public domain MX program. I'd
- recommend PMDF for performance reasons as well.

- You can contact Innosoft at (714) 624-7907, or
- send mail to sales@innosoft .com
