  12. two logins.  His local DIGITAL sales office says this can't be done.

  14. Hi, Andres.  DIGITAL is not telling the whole truth about VAXstations.
  15. True, VMS does look at the hardware, notice that it is a VAXstation,
  16. and refuse to do more than two logins no matter what story you tell it
  17. about maximum interactive logins or the size of the license which you
  18. install.  However, there is a license option which you may purchase (at
  19. least in the USA) from DIGITAL which will let you have up to 8 logins
  20. on a VAXstation.  To purchase this option, you need to have the
  21. regional sales manager's approval.  I imagine that will be a lot easier
  22. to get when you buy your first Sun SPARCstation since Sun doesn't
  23. count.  This policy was announced in a CSO published in July, 1992.  It
  24. has not been widely promoted since desk-side machines produce more revenue.
