  24. What you call 4 wire telephone cable is more than likely 2 pair.  To hook up
  25. to RS-232, connect one wire in each pair to pins 2 and 3.  Both of the other
  26. wires should go to pin 7 and/or 1.  I did this satisfactorily connecting one
  27. to 1, the other to 7.  You won't be able to make really long cable runs.
