  13.     Our company has 5 manufacturing plants with fiber-based LANs.
  14.     Recently, a careless employee at one of these locations broke one
  15.     of the fibers and our only recourse was to contract out for the
  16.     repair which ended up taking nearly a week to accomplish. This has
  17.     prompted the discussion of whether we should try to handle this type
  18.     of thing next time. My question then is: Does anyone out there do
  19.     their own fiber termination, repair, etc.? If so, I'd like to hear
  20.     details about training, equipment costs, and whatever else might
  21.     be involved. Thanks for your help.
