- Our company has 5 manufacturing plants with fiber-based LANs.
- Recently, a careless employee at one of these locations broke one
- of the fibers and our only recourse was to contract out for the
- repair which ended up taking nearly a week to accomplish. This has
- prompted the discussion of whether we should try to handle this type
- of thing next time. My question then is: Does anyone out there do
- their own fiber termination, repair, etc.? If so, I'd like to hear
- details about training, equipment costs, and whatever else might
- be involved. Thanks for your help.
