- This problem in VAXen going very slow for a few seconds can come from many
- sources. Since I have no access to your system I can only tell you a very
- common cause wich is not nessecarely seen by AUTOGEN. Get your hands on the
- key board and make a MONITOR PAGE. Now watch at the 'System fault rate'
- if this frequently grows over 1 or enev 2 then you probably have located the
- cause here. Simply run SYSGEN and raise the SYSMWCNT parameter. Do not raise
- it to high ! A value around 2000 should be a good idea. Since this parameter
- is no dynamic you need to reboot to check its impact and ic necessary raise
- it again.
-
- If you have accesss to PSI you may send me a MONITOR record file with all
- classes in it to PSI%0270442110::system I will look at it and send you
- the result of the analyzes. If you do not have PSI you can send it via
- SMTP but to another address (GLOESENER@menvax.restena.lu) but since my
- quota is limited on that machine you should tell me first the size of your
- record file so that I can ask for more quota first !
-
- Sending binary files can be done by the SEND/FOREIGN command in VMS/MAIL.
