  13. Some null characters were in a file received from 'elsewhere'.  I'd like
  14. to know how to do a global replace to make the nulls into spaces.
  15. How does one enter the null (x'00') character in EVE?

  17. I found how to enter arbitary characters in EDT using the SPECINS feature.
  18. Using the SET KEYPAD WPS doesn't seem to provide this feature in EVE,
  19. though.

  21. I know about the Quote character ^V, but that doesn't seem to help me with
  22. the null character, does it?

  24. My understanding is that EVE is primarily a text-only editor.  But since
  25. you can quote certain control characters, I have hopes that I can specify
  26. the null as I can the form feed (^L) character.

  28. Lastly, though my need currently is to remove the nulls, I hope that your
  29. answer would enable me to *insert* nulls if I needed to at another time.
