- With the cost of CD ROM drives ($1000 per 600Mb) and the cost of SCSI disk
- ($1000 per 1Mb in bulk), isn't the concept of the info-server - ie 1 drive
- per disk starting to get a little dated?
-
- The guys trying to sell CD jukeboxes better hurry up and drop the
- prices to a resonable level - ie the cost of a normal jukebox, not
- the cost of hiring Pink Floyd for a live performance. Otherwise
- they are going to find the SCSI disk people flogging 10-20 Gig
- disks in the $3000 odd bracket that remove the need for their
- system before they ever start selling in bulk.
