- this usually means that someone else is running HELP when you are
- installing FORTRAN. the fact that you are getting the message is
- confusing, unless someone else is using the same username as you are,
- but then it should say "2 terminals have been notified". very confusing.
- i've installed FORTRAN V5.8 without problems.

- make sure that only you are logged in to the system and that you are
- logged in as SYSTEM.
