- I have checked every angle known to man (at least known to me). I have
- a Sony CDU535 proprietary bus drive. OS/2 only supports scsi. I have
- spoken with IBM. They claim that they do not make device drivers for
- other companies hardware. Fare answer. So that sends me to Sony. They
- claim that they will not support OS/2 and that they have never made
- their own drivers anyhow. Interesting answer, but still politically
- correct of them. All of the drivers ever made for a Sony CD-ROM has been
- made by Microsoft. Ahh. Here is my problem. There is no way in hell that
- Microsoft is going to make a driver that is supporting OS/2 and IBM.
- They were friendly with me, but had nothing real to offer me. I have
- had friends give a whack at trying to make one. That was a dead end
- street. All of this has taken me 2 months and created a hideous phone
- bill.
-
- My last resort is to post to this newsgroup in hopes to find out any
- information. Can someone make me a driver..? Is it even possible..?
- Is there a chance that somebody knows of one that already exists..?
-
- If more information is needed, E-Mail me. I know most answers on this
- subject, except for the ones I am asking now. If someone is willing to
- help me out, then please E-Mail me. If no help comes about drivers, and
- not rigged solutions like VDM's, then I will be forced to go back to
- Windows 3.1.. a fate clearly worse than death. Thank you in advance.
