- Hey! How about this for an inexpensive *ATTEMPT* at peer-to-peer between
- an OS/2 2.0 machine and a DOS one:
-
- 1) Buy Netware Lite for the DOS machine.
-
- 2) Buy the Novell Requestor for the OS/2 machine.
-
- Voila? Does this work? Can anyone tell me if they've tried this
- successfully, or unsuccessfully?
-
- Oh--one other thing. I seem to remember someone saying that they were running
- the Requestor and just the IPX/NETX drivers on another machine (no actual
- Novell servers on the system) and they were getting essential peer-to-peer.
- Is this true? I'd like to know, as I own Netware 2.2, but don't want to
- re-initialize ANY of my machines as non-dedicated servers. COMPSURF and
- I aren't friends. :-)
