  16. Are you familiar with LPRMON?  It lets you print to a printer queue
  17. as if you have a real printer defined and then snatches files from
  18. the print queue and sends them with lpr to the real printer.  I
  19. use it routinely with no problems.

  21. LPRMON is available with IBM's TCP/IP; I don't know if other
  22. implementations support it or not.
