  12. Things worked ok after installing the SP until all of a sudden
  13. disaster struck (of sorts): I can't convince OS/2 to shut down when I
  14. select the shut down option on the desktop. It says blahblah Do You
  15. wnat to shutdown? and I dutifully say Yes, at which point I am
  16. returned to the desktop. Nothing happens. Nada. I can do this for
  17. hours (or at least until I get this overpowering urge  to spit on
  18. the computer) and it obligingly says OK and then sits there.

  20. What have I done (if anything ) and what can I do to fix this?

  24. P.S. Please don't tell me to reinstall, I really don't want to do
  25. that. I mean, if I really have to I guess that's ok, but I think I'd
  26. just as soon not know.
