  22. Part of the problem may be that you might need to reboot after
  23. installing and before using something that installed a DLL or an EXE
  24. in a non-standard place. To find those pieces, you'd have to change
  25. your LIBPATH and PATH variables, and I don't know if LIBPATH can be
  26. changed interactively.

  31. Unix stuff does not do this. Each app installs its stuff into its own
  32. directory hierarchy, and you add the appropriate parts to your PATH
  33. and LD_LIBRARY_PATH variables interactively.

  35. As much as I like OS/2, its still a lot more like DOS than Unix in
  36. terms of usability (IMHO, Unix > OS/2 >>>>> DOS).
