- I'm running with the service pack applied and the 1024x768 TSENG 4000
- drivers installed via selective install. I've been having problems
- figuring out how to use VMODE CUSTOM to get my monitor working
- non-interlaced but I think I've got that working now too.
-
- I'm not sure if this is a new problem, an old problem that I haven't
- read about or if I just screwed something out and was wondering if
- anyone else has seen this problem too. I run with the default light
- gray desktop. After I've run VMODE MONITOR to set my custom monitor
- settings I get little black specks all over my light gray desktop.
- It looks like someone shook pepper on my desktop. If I hit the right
- mouse button and then select REFRESH the black specks go away. As
- I open and close different applications these black specks come back.
- Again, REFRESH makes them go away.
-
- I'm really happy with the new TSENG 4000 drivers now that I've been
- able to get them running non-interlaced. Images are sharp and solid.
- This peppering of my desktop is pretty annoying. My guess is that I
- still haven't selected the best options from VMODE CUSTOM; unfortunately,
- I don't think I have enough documentation on both the VMODE utility
- and my monitor, Sony 1604, to figure out the best custom setting.
-
- Thanks,
