- I've used selective install to install the new high res TSENG 4000
- drivers after installing the Service Package for OS/2 2.0. Unfortunately,
- I have a lot of flicker. I'm not sure if my monitor is interlacing or
- if the refresh rate is too low. I know that my monitor, a Sony 1604, is
- capable of doing 1024X768@70Hz non-interlaced and I assume that my Diamond
- SpeedStar Plus (1 meg) should also support this resolution/rate/mode.
-
- The documentation that I have for the VMODE program is pretty skimpy. Is
- it safe to assume that I'm just not using VMODE correctly for my monitor?
- Right now I make a call from STARTUP.CMD to VMODE 38 70 which I thought
- would set the card in 1024x768@70Hz but I'm not sure how to tell it not
- to interlace. I've done SVGA OFF, VMODE 30 70, SVG ON from a full screen
- DOS session too but I'm still flickering like crazy.
-
- If someone could point me in the right direction and possible send me more
- info on using VMODE to get 1024x768@70Hz non-interlaced I'd appreciate it.
