  14. Let me first start by describing my system:
  15.     33 MHz. 80386
  16.     16 MB memory
  17.     212 MB IDE boot disk (about 50 MB left)
  18.     121 MB SCSI with Adaptec 1520 controller 
  19.  
  20.     I have upgraded using the Golden SP.
  21.  
  22. I have had problems running out of memory when running (about) 5
  23. processes.  I looked at the size of the SWAPPER.DAT file.  The size
  24. never changed from 2097152 (bytes).  Okay, I have seen advise here
  25. saying that if the SWAPPER.DAT grows, but will not shrink, boot off
  26. floppy and delete it.  My problem is not quite the same (it doesn't
  27. grow or shrink), but I figured that I would try it.

  29. I booted from floppy and deleted the C:\OS2\SWAPPER.DAT file.  I
  30. rebooted.  I checked the size of the newly created SWAPPER.DAT file
  31. and found it to be 2097152.  I ran a few programs and got a memory
  32. warning.  The size of SWAPPER.DAT had not changed!

  34. What do I need to do to get this to work right?????
