- Let me first start by describing my system:
- 33 MHz. 80386
- 16 MB memory
- 212 MB IDE boot disk (about 50 MB left)
- 121 MB SCSI with Adaptec 1520 controller
-
- I have upgraded using the Golden SP.
-
- I have had problems running out of memory when running (about) 5
- processes. I looked at the size of the SWAPPER.DAT file. The size
- never changed from 2097152 (bytes). Okay, I have seen advise here
- saying that if the SWAPPER.DAT grows, but will not shrink, boot off
- floppy and delete it. My problem is not quite the same (it doesn't
- grow or shrink), but I figured that I would try it.
-
- I booted from floppy and deleted the C:\OS2\SWAPPER.DAT file. I
- rebooted. I checked the size of the newly created SWAPPER.DAT file
- and found it to be 2097152. I ran a few programs and got a memory
- warning. The size of SWAPPER.DAT had not changed!
-
- What do I need to do to get this to work right?????
-
- Thanks,
-
