  20. I have been following flopticals for exactly this reason...  So much so
  21. that I have badgered the author of FlexiBack Plus to begin work on an OS/2
  22. version, just for flopticals (and less dense floppys, too).

  24. Nonetheless, I got some info from a company in Silicon Valley about their
  25. $399 external floptical drive, controller and 5 media package deal.  On
  26. calling them I found out:

  28.   - the drive can be used as B: or (D: through Z:) because
  29.  
  30.   - you must have a driver loaded to make the drive visable, but
  31.  
  32.   - there is no OS/2 driver available "at this time" with no hints as to
  33.     whether it will ever be available.
