- I think those are the error messages you get if OS/2 thinks it is
- not a bootable disk - ie. "I can't find the boot record/os."

- As a past victim of the ibm1s506.add driver with ESDI controllers,
- I would guess that this is the problem. They seem to have not put
- the "new, improved, works with every IDE, ESDI, RLL, ..." version
- of ibm1s506.add on the Service Pack.

- I have the new, improved version, so I put that on disk#2, and it
- installed the SP happily. I had to re-boot from floppy and copy the good
- .add to \os2, of course, because the install unpacks a compressed
- version to the hard disk, and of course, it's that same non-working copy.

- Once you correct the driver/install pains, it should be happy.
- You can either put the GA version of ibm1s506.add on, if that
- worked for that system, or any version that did work. The "final"
- version should be posted soon to CIS, and presumably to software.watson.
