- Following many peoples' suggestion that a CALL=/OS2/CMD.EXE statement
- be placed in CONFIG.SYS to assist in changing video drivers, I notice
- that the video screen when CMD.EXE comes up is displaced by slightly
- more than half the screen height, i.e.,
-
- +----------------------+
- (bottom half of screen)
- :
- (top half of screen)
- c:\>
-
-
- +----------------------+
-
- So if I type a dir command, the output begins scrolling down from the
- c:\> prompt until it hits the bottom of the screen and then continues
- from the top! Even graphic programs suffer from this ``split-screen"
- syndrome.
-
- The screen stays in this mode until I type 'exit' to start the WPS,
- which runs without problems. My current configuration is WPS 1024x768
- 16 colour using the Orchid 0.9beta drivers in proii4.zip. Of course,
- I have a Orchid ProDesigner IIs 1Mbyte video card. The monitor is a
- NEC 5FG and the computer is a AMI Enterprise II 486/33MHz EISA.
-
- Has anyone else experience this or a similar problem? All replies are
- welcome.
