  16. UUPC is an implementation of the Unix UUCP transfer protocol.  It tries
  17. to be as similar to the Unix version as possible.

  19. It is used to transfer files in a batch mode from one system to another.  As
  20. an extreme example of UUCP just look at Usenet; most of the systems that
  21. support Usenet are running some sort of UUCP, be it a Dos based system, a
  22. Unix based system or a VMS based system.
