- Douglas,
- I've just started following this thread, but your way of doing thing
- seems to take care of most of the problems which everyone else's
- implementations are plagued by. To be specific, if one uses the shredder
- to kill the current instance of the trashcan and all of the files within,
- then os/2 should take care of properly deleting all of the shadows,
- hidden objects, normal objects, whatever!
-
- The only problem to take care of is actually to REMOVE some
- functionality. The menu item for emptying the trashcan will, until we
- figure out how to properly get rid of all of the above-mentioned obj's,
- not work correctly so just _remove_this_MAL-functional_functionality_ and
- we should have a FULLY functional trashcan.
-
- Yeah, I know that one has to "tear one off the pad" to replace the
- dearly departed most-recently-shredded-trashcan, but hey! This takes
- care of all of our problems so it seems a small price to pay. If there
- are any holes in this idea I would like someone to bring them up.
- Otherwise, I think Douglas you have come up with a winning idea, whether
- or not you realized it!
-
- WAY-TO-GO!!!
- Andreas.
