  21. Yes. Crap seams to get lost in the system.ini files and cpyini only copies
  22. valid entries, leaving the garbage behind. At least this is waht happens on
  23. my system (bug: mine wentup to 4 megs. I've heard as high as 5 megs). This
  24. isn't from dead space (as some have suggested) or from too many progams
  25. adding entries (unlikely given the number of WPS aware apps).

  28. There is supposed to be a system API to access these files (to prevent
  29. bogus entries or conflicts) but I can't believe who SLOW it is to access
  30. the ini files. Just look at how long cpyini (or another program inicopy)
  31. take to copy the file! You'd think that the system call would have some
  32. kind of smart search tree for accesssing this file, esp. since its a database
  33. with keys and records; most databases are better at searching and copying.

  35. No wonder WPS takes so long to start up if it has to go through this bottleneck.
