- Hi friends,
- I'm using the German version of OS/2 2.0 and thus didn't get the CSD yet.
- Although I bought a ET4000 video card last week and would really like to use
- its fine features. First I got the fixed VSVGA.SYS from HOBBES and installed
- it. Afterwards at least the fullscreen sessions went well.
- But then I tried one of the ET4000 SVGA dll's after the other (I got them
- all from HOBBES). Before I started, I ran SVGA ON and the svgadata.pmi file
- was created. Afterwards I created a directory C:\TSENG, into which I copied
- the specific DISPLAY.DLL file. I put C:\TSENG as the first component in
- my LIBPATH statement and changed the VIO_VGA-statement and the statement
- concerning VSVGA.SYS in the config.sys file.
- After bootup the screen was completely distorted and I was lucky to get
- the shutdown invoked correctly. First I thought, the monitor could be at fault,
- but when I made the changes undone, I tested some SVGA DOS applications, which
- ran well with my monitor.
-
- What am I doing wrong ?!
