- The version of RexxMenu at hobbes (ftp-os2.nmsu.edu) in the
- os2/2.0/Rexx directory has some problems for some users in the
- sample files and in the installation. A new version is in
- /uploads. The dll hasn't changed, but the example files
- no longer really on computers being set up like mine.
-
-
- RexxMenu allows you to create a menu by reading options from a file.
- I primarily use RexxMenu to keep one small icon on my desktop (and
- as a hook_kbs hotkey) that pops up with many of my common actions, lets
- me select the action I want from a couple of keyboard strokes or with
- the mouse, then initiates that action and goes away. My desktop is now
- much cleaner and I spend less time navigating among directories.
-
- The included sample files demonstrate this desktop-cleaning-and-quick-
- access functionality, as well as other uses such as changing file
- attributes within an OS/2 console window, changin file directories,
- scanning and reading .inf files, and choosing Solitaire options for
- different users.
-
- If you don't have access for the ftp download, then email me and I'll
- be glad to email it back to you.
