- The ZyXEL U2496E Modem does all but phone call transfer (and adds V32bis and
- V17 FAX) for $469 list (yes I know this a tad more than "a few hundred").

- The bundled software will not do all you ask "out of the box" so you would
- have to write AT commands to your serial port. They can be reached at

- They advertise in the trade mags.
- They have a bbs. They have a PC internal card (W/16550) for a bit less.
