  38. The ZyXEL U2496E Modem does all but phone call transfer (and adds V32bis and
  39. V17 FAX) for $469 list (yes I know this a tad more than "a few hundred").

  41. The bundled software will not do all you ask "out of the box" so you would
  42. have to write AT commands to your serial port.  They can be reached at

  49. They have a bbs.  They have a PC internal card (W/16550) for a bit less.
