- You missed the point. Microsoft does not go around forcing vendors into
- including either DOS and/or Windows. Given that there's even
- competition for plain old DOS, a decision by, say, Gateway to bundle
- MS-DOS and Windows is an intentional one, probably seen as a way of
- offering functionality customers will want. (Or do you think all those
- vendors offer DOS/Windows because they want to tick off their
- customers?) It seems that MS makes the bargain stick to an entire
- product line (so that customers cannot selectively choose not to get
- either DOS and/or Windows), but if you don't like that you can choose
- another vendor.
