- I recently received an order form for a card called Microware
- Accelerator which boasts about making windows up to 25 times faster.
-
- The following is a graph which they include as comparisons for a
- computer with the card and one without:
-
- Bit Block Alignment | Screen to Screen
- (milliseconds) | (milliseconds)
- --------------------------+----------------------------
- 286/12 Mhz | 286/12 Mhz
- standard 614 | standard 11.82
- accelerator 19 | accelerator 0.63
- |
- 386/33 Mhz | 386/33 Mhz
- standard 477 | standard 9.31
- accelerator 18 | accelerator 0.51
- |
- 486/33 Mhz | 486/33 Mhz
- standard 347 | standard 6.37
- accelerator 13 | acceleator 0.37
-
- (Tests performed on Super-VGA - 1 meg RAM, non-interlaced VESA
- compliant)
-
- There is no need for reconfiguring windows. Just plug the card in.
-
- Has anyone else heard about this card or give comments on it. Any
- info apart from the pre-sales dribble would be appreciated.
-
- thanx.
