- I've gotten the October Beta installed on both x86 and Mips, and
- have a few comments/questions.
-
- 1) Has anyone figured out a way to save the window size of TERMINAL
- between sessions? I hate resizing the default tiny window every time...
- Doing a save to a .TRM file doesn't seem to save this, and saving
- properties under Program Manager doesn't seem to help. Can this
- be saved in a .PIF file?
-
- 2) "RMDIR /S has been disabled in this release" - ARGGGGGGGHHH!!!!!
- I may keep the July release on disk just for this feature. Is
- there any other good way to recursively delete directories?
-
- 3) If you use TERMINAL in Telnet mode, and then type QUIT at the
- Telnet> prompt, it gets hung. Any workaround?
-
- 4) BACKUP still seems to be a piece of garbage. Unlike the July
- release, in Beta it tells me it doesn't see a tape drive, even
- though the my tape drive is in the Registry info every time
- I boot. The July release saw my Wangtek 5525 SCSI drive OK. If
- anyone is happily using BACKUP with a SCSI 1/4" tape drive, please
- send me which host adapter and which tape drive transport model
- you have...Thanks (the hardware release notes suck on this topic
- since they only list DAT drives, not QIC). Yes, I tried this as
- both my user ID and as Administrator...
