- I recently bought Visual Basic 1.0, and I will most likely upgrade to
- v 2.0. But I am more interested in VB's behavior with large projects.
- We're developing a largew database system with Oracle (and soon,
- Sybase), which has approximately 180 windows! Each is a dialog with
- significant validation and tools. Our current version is developed
- using PowerBuilder 2.0, by Powersoft. Although we aren't pleased with
- the speed it operates at, it does at least have the expandability to let
- us have all the windows we want.
-
- So my question is: How 'interpreted' is VB, how large can
- applications be, and how well does it operate using databases like
- Oracle and Sybase? Can anyone recommend better tools?
-
- Someone previously recommended a CASE tool provided with Quick C,
- but I have lost the reference. Perhaps someone is familiar with it?
-
- Thanks all,
