  13. After writing my FIRST (like, "Hello"!) program for Windows,
  14. I found I couldn't get it to compile either in PWB or in a
  15. DR-DOS window.  If I exited Windows and ran the same batch file
  16. I had attempted to run in the DR-DOS window, it worked fine.
  17. (Error message was, I believe. "DOSX32: cannot initialize device
  18. VPFD.386".... from memory, might not be EXACT.)
  19.  
  20. I have a 386-25 w/ 4MB of memory.  Is this simply not enough to
  21. compile while running Windows?  Or is there something I'm missing
  22. with regard to my DOSPRMPT.PIF settings, or the phases of the moon,
  23. or...
