- Did you get to the part that won't load the program with an error code 2. Put
- set ql2fax=c:\ql2fax in autoexec.bat. Don't have quicklink load recfax from
- a Windows load. Put it into the autoexec after the set as "call recfax".
- Setup quicklink for "fax only" without cpu dedication so it will receive faxes
- only in the background. Quicklink doesn't recommend receiving faxes inside of
- windows (in fact it won't work). Windows memory management and other TSRs will
- affect quicklinks operation also. It the beginning stages it doesn't look like
- quicklink II is going to make it with windows. I'm leaning to Winfax if I have
- more trouble. Neither Boca or Quicklink seem very up on all the compatibility
- problems with Windows ( I called Tech support of both). The number for Tech
- Support for Smith Software that was so conveniently left out of the manual is
- 714 362-5800. For Boca pg. 84 of the manual.
-
- The NITEFAX program that comes with Quicklink is supposed to receive a fax and
- automatically print it, but I haven't or don't expect it to work under Windows.
- There is conversion in Quicklink to allow Quicklink to grab a text file and
- use to send out. That will work under Windows.
-
- Don't have any more to throw in here, but you know where to email if you have
- something to bring up.
