  13. Sorry if this has already showed up ... problems with posting software :-(

  15.     My neighbor is running a video titler (dos) program on a '486 machine
  16.     with 8Mb memory.  When trying to load a complex graphic when running
  17.     from under windows, the app complains about not enough memory.
  18.     Running the same app from dos allows these same graphics to load ok.

  20.     The docs indicate the app will run on '286 as well as '386/'486
  21.     platforms so I assume it is using expanded memory.  Both himem and
  22.     emm386 are loaded.  With my limited understanding of dos memory models
  23.     (just 'cause the world ain't flat, doesn't mean memory models
  24.     shouldn't be!) I don't even know if a virtual 8086 machine under
  25.     windows can access expanded memory.

  27.     Any help, advice, unsubstantiated rumors, etc are certainly welcome.
