- Using a 1542B, SMARTDRV with double-buffering and QEMM. It was working, but
- seemed a little slow. I made the mistake of reading the QEMM manual. It
- said to add DISKBUF=2 to the QEMM command line. I did that and immediately
- QEMM trashed my hard drive. corrupted 10-12 files, lost chains, corrupted
- directories, about anything Norton could find, QEMM trashed. Finally got
- it all put back together - couldn't believe that a simple change to QEMM -
- that was recommended by the documentation - could do that. Tried again -
- trashed again.....:-(((((((
-
- I'll live with the somewhat slow for now and hope that ASPI4DOS is an
- improvement when I can get it.
