- About 18 months ago I purchased a PixelView PC/II hi-res 1280x960
- monochrome display from a company called Mirror Technologies. Up to
- last month it was working without a problem, initally on Windows 3.0
- and later on Windows 3.1.
-
- About 6 weeks ago the unit started to get flaky, and ultimately stopped
- working altogether. I can only assume that it is the display adapter
- that failed.
-
- I called Mirror Technologies for help and they told me they had
- discontinued the product soon after I purchased it (that explains the
- good price!!) and that the manufacturer of the display adaptor,
- Moniterm, had gone out of business, so that effectively I have an
- orphan product.
-
- After looking through the device drivers I find references to "VIKING"
- and I believe that Moniterm may have sold the same product as the
- Moniterm Viking.
-
- Is there anybody else out there in netland who is also using this
- product?
-
- In particular I would be interested in any updated device drivers
- and/or diagnostics to enable me to be 100% sure that the unit has
- failed.
-
- As an alternative if there is anybody that has a spare display adapter
- of the same type that they would be willing to sell?
-
- Finally I would be interested in information on any other display
- adapters that would work with a 21" Monochrome Hitachi display.
-
- Thanks in advance for any help.
