  17. Current word is saying 'first half of 1993'.  For me, that translates
  18. to late 2Q1993 MAYBE -- expect a slip or two yet, or incomplete
  19. functionality.

  21. I don't know if the NT Developer's Program is still open.  I think it
  22. is.  Under this you get a Developer's version (including Beta versions
  23. of development tools), all Betas along the way, plus the initial
  24. release of production NT (which it looks like they're going to number
  25. Windows/NT 3.1) -- but not of the development tools.  There's an 800
  26. number to call (or maybe get it through CIS), but I'm afraid I don't
  27. have it handy.

  29. Note that you will need a fast '386-'486 with at least 12 MB of RAM (I
  30. hear less than 16 isn't real workable -- gets  S L O W) and a CD-ROM
  31. drive; I'm not sure which ones are supported, so you'll need to check.
  32. OR you can try running it on an R4000 workstation (which code I gather
  33. is somewhat more buggy than the Intel targetted stuff -- although how
  34. they know, I don't have any idea; I can't see anyone putting this on a
  35. real workstation).
