- Current word is saying 'first half of 1993'. For me, that translates
- to late 2Q1993 MAYBE -- expect a slip or two yet, or incomplete
- functionality.
-
- I don't know if the NT Developer's Program is still open. I think it
- is. Under this you get a Developer's version (including Beta versions
- of development tools), all Betas along the way, plus the initial
- release of production NT (which it looks like they're going to number
- Windows/NT 3.1) -- but not of the development tools. There's an 800
- number to call (or maybe get it through CIS), but I'm afraid I don't
- have it handy.
-
- Note that you will need a fast '386-'486 with at least 12 MB of RAM (I
- hear less than 16 isn't real workable -- gets S L O W) and a CD-ROM
- drive; I'm not sure which ones are supported, so you'll need to check.
- OR you can try running it on an R4000 workstation (which code I gather
- is somewhat more buggy than the Intel targetted stuff -- although how
- they know, I don't have any idea; I can't see anyone putting this on a
- real workstation).
