  13.  I have an interesting windows problem that neither Microsoft,
  14. my Novell reseller, or the Display card suppliers can solve.
  15. Any ideas, please reply I'm getting desperate. Here is the
  16. scene.

  18.   Windows 3.1 running in 386 enhanced mode on a Novell
  19.   3.11 network. IPX = version 3.10, NETX = 3.26. I am
  20.   trying to install the high resolution windows 
  21.   graphics drivers for a trident tvga 8900c 1MB full
  22.   height video card. The machine is an AST 486/33
  23.   bravo with 4 MB and a 10 base T network adaptor card
  24.   NE2000 type port - 340h int = 5. Basically when I
  25.   use the card with the standard mode VGA driver that
  26.   comes with windows no probs, however if I try to
  27.   use the high resolution drivers I get the following.

  29.   A device file specified in system.ini is corrupted
  30.   it you may need to run windows in 386 enhanced mode.
  31.   You may need to run the setup program again.

  35.   Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device number 000a, service
  36.   0007. Your windows config is invalid. Run windows setup
  37.   program again to correct the problem.

  39.   When I install the drivers on the local copy of windows, ie
  40.   windows on c: it works fine. I have tried a number of different 
  41.   resolutions and same problems ! I have extracted the trident 
  42.   video drivers and set up windows correctly according to 
  43.   microsoft.

  45.   All that I can determine is that there is some clash between
  46.   windows on the network and this particluar video driver.
  47.   If you have any suggestions please let me know because I am
  48.   all out.
