  24. the $5 pays for log-on only. After that 99% of the services that
  25. really make a difference cost you clocked at $13/hour. I decided to
  26. skip Compu$pend after running bills in the $300-$400 region per
  27. month. It's totally stupid to use a commercial system to provide
  28. "support". Just consider the numbers. At 900,000 users Compuserve 
  29. only provides access for a small fraction of the actual users of
  30. software. Everyone else is left out. We'll see how long it takes
  31. for the Borland and Microsoft guys to realize that. Things certainly
  32. look different from a cubicle on Microsoft Way, on Scotts Valley Drive
  33. or at the CIA.
