  13.     Listen, can anybody help me with this particular DOS problem

  15.     I have just set-up my 486-33 MHz and have problems in that

  17.     sometimes when I boot DOS reports Fixed Disk Failure and

  19.     pressing reset does absolutely nowt. I have to switch it off at the
  20.  
  21.     mains and switch back-on. 
  22.  
  23.     Also, Norton Utilities reports that my S-VGA card is a VGA
  24.  
  25.     and Checkit reports errors with the Video Memory (16).
  26.  
  27.     Is my system at fault or is it a DOS problem ?

  29.     Reasons for the above status would be appreciated as soon as poss.
