- Hello out there! I'm having some strange problems getting
- the latest version of CD-LPmud and CD-lib to work under Linux 0.98.4.
- I've got the driver to compile fine, thats not the problem. It seems
- to run fine, but if I check memory usage by using free in another VC,
- I find that the memory being used steadily goes up at the rate of
- about 8k a minute, even when noones on the MUD! This is rather
- strange behavior, to say the least. In 0.98.3, I'd get the bug that
- accept() ran out of memory because of a failure to properly free inodes.
- Could this be the same problem manifesting itself in a different way?
- Or perhaps it is a problem with the smalloc.c that comes with it.
-
- I am using the latest versions of both of the above, I ftp
- ed them from ftp.cd.chalmers.se.
-
- Can someone please give me some advice? I am pretty lost here..
-
- Also, not related, but I've been having considerable difficulty
- getting some of the examples that come with the lib to work correctly.
- The shop doesn't work at all, and the pub won't give me anything,
- regardless of how much money I give myself in the money maker room.
-
- Thanks.
