  12. I have downloaded ver 0.98pl4, which compiles fine.  I can also boot
  13. and log in.  However (as root), when I boot, log in or out, run a
  14. program, well anything except just pressing Return, I get
  15.  
  16.     Warning: using old stat() call. Recompile your binary.

  18. I also get no output from ls, but I can run programs.

  20. When I log in as non-root I get the following message (mixed with
  21. old stat() call):

  23.     shell-init: getwd: cannot access parent directories
  24.  
  25.     : getwd: cannot access parent directories
  26.  
  27. I have tried   chmod og+r /   and   chmod a+r /   with no change of
  28. the above.   What is wrong?
